"Gary Paul Hermus displays good vocals and song he wrote 'The Man In The Black Chapeau' suits him perfectly. Good and easily recognized chorus and the song has some musical surprises that keeps the listener glued til the end."

My Scrapbook.

Perhaps I'm jaded by those years attending NYC's Performing Arts High School, then located at W.46th Street between Broadway and Avenue of the Americas.

Every morning I'd take the subway to school and walk past theatrical posters plastered with rave quotes from newspapers. I discovered, upon actually reading a given review, that the quote in question was taken so out of context that it had no relation to the reviewer's real opinion of the show.

While I may paraphrase an article or review elsewhere, I won't do it here. I will post the articles linked below in their entirety. As a writer I could do no less than respect the words of other writers.
