**Pandemic Online Special**

Bored staying at home?  Thinking about picking up that old guitar that's been gathering dust and shaking off those guitar chop cob webs?   When you try it, are you frustrated because you couldn't even remember what a C chord looks like?  Ready to give it up?

Your First Visit

  • Assessment
We begin by finding out where you are. If you are already playing guitar/lap slide/bass guitar, you'll be asked to play a few pieces to help evaluate where you are with the instrument. If you are brand new, we'll evaluate such things as the instrument you intend to work on (whether or not it's right for you) or things you'll want to look for in an instrument if you don't already have one. We'll also assess your ergonomic approach for issues which may get in the way of you achieving your goals.
  • Goals
Next, we discuss where you want to get to and what you hope to accomplish. These goals can be broad or as focussed as you wish them to be.
  • The Plan For You
We'll lay out a basic plan for how to get to where you want to go. We'll discuss the skills you'll need to acquire in order to achieve your goals and what's involved in getting them. We'll structure an approach that makes sense for you; this is not a one-size-fits-all program. Each of us has unique skills to bring to bear, challenges to overcome and optimal ways of learning. These will be important issues in the plan we develop together.
